For the 2010-2011 year, "Lord, Teach Us to Pray" will be the focus for St. Peter's parish as we seek a firm foundation upon which to build both our spiritual walk and our church family.  Be sure to sign-up for the "Praying in Color" workshop with nationally-recognized presenter, Sybil MacBeth, which is being held in the Parish Hall from 2:00 - 5:00 pm on Sunday, August 29th.  For more  information please see the "Praying in Color Workshop" tag in the topics list. 

      We are also participating in a "Journey Towards Peace" program with our sister parish, St. Alban's.  The beginning of the journey is a six-week audio study entitled, "Encountering Islam."  Each session will be offered twice:  On Wednesday evenings from 7:00 - 8:00 pm at St. Alban's; and, on Thursday mornings from 7:30 - 8:30 am in the library at St. Peter's.  The Wednesday evening sessions at St. Alban's begin on August 18th and run through September 22nd, while the Thursday morning sessions at St. Peter's begin on August 19th and run through September 23rd. For more information about this study, please refer to the "Journey Towards Peace" tag.
